The responsibility lies with the food business to ensure the information they are using is up to date and to regularly check on the FSAI Learning Portal for any updates or changes. The FSAI Learning Portal is not intended to provide a complete food safety training programme for food businesses. Each food business must meet their legal requirement to ensure that food handlers are supervised, and also instructed and/or trained in food hygiene based on the level of activity they are involved in. Each food business operator must ensure that food safety training provided for their staff is appropriate, relevant and addresses the specific training needs of each member of staff.

There may be other legislation that applies to your food business. It is your responsibility to ensure that your food business complies with all relevant legislation.
